How to vote in Lithuania
The European elections will take part in Lithuania on 9 June 2024. Lithuanian and other EU citizens, having the right to live and reside in the country at least 60 days prior to election day and aged 18 or more can cast a vote.

Lithuania uses an open-list system with preferential voting: each voter chooses a list and then has the option of indicating five preferred candidates from that list. The seats are allocated among the lists using the largest remainder method (Hare quota). The candidates from each qualifying list who have received the most preference votes are elected.

Normally, you are allocated a polling station based on your home address. However, on election day you can also vote in another polling station (since the whole country is one constituency), provided the polling station is connected to the central database, to ensure that the voter only casts one ballot.
